Except in cases where someone is unable to leave their home for any purpose at all, it is better for them to be seen at the surgery. The doctor has access to the patients full medical record and a full range of medical equipment.
How to book a home visit
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will arrange a home visit for you. You may not always be seen by your own GP as we use out of hours Clinicians to help support the Practice in time of need. The Clinician/GP will phone you first to understand the nature of why you need a home visit.
To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you can phone the surgery between 8.30am and 2pm to enable the Practice to arrange your appointment for the same day wherever possible. All home visits will be confirmed with you prior to the home visit will take place.
